Hey guys I was wondering if any of you have had glandular fever (i.m.) and whether you were able to exercise even with the fatigue? I got it in April(07) and after going on a long trip now feel awful everyday, as though all my energy reserves were used up while abroad.

Anyway, what sorts of things did you do to keep in shape without making yourself crash?

    Cheers - Chris

P.S I'm going for a SLOW jog tonight with a buddy so wish me luck icon_biggrin.gif

    Hey dude

I picked up Glandular Fever from College two years ago...I was nocked out for about four months and couldn't exercise at all. I think In total i took a year out of college and training because of it.

I still get recurring bouts of it from time to time when I am run down.

If ya wanna chat let me know.

I was not familiar with the name Glandular Fever, so I looked it up on Wikipedia. Here in North America it is commonly called "Mono", short for Mononucleosis. Nicknamed "the kissing disease", it is typically transmitted through saliva. It can also be aquired by sharing a drink or eating utensils with someone else that has it. You may get more responses from US/Canada by calling it Mono. Best wishes recovering from it.
