I always think less is better. Give me the tight and short boxer briefs or bikinis!

I wore briefs when i shaved my legs for the team, now for non-competition stuff i use jammers, better for my leg hair and somewhat more comfortable.

You'll never see competitive swimmers wearing board shorts no matter how naturally hairy they are. They shave all their body hair off, so as not to create any drag. They have to shave all their body hair, if they want to be competitive.

Completely agree, boardshorts are my choice for the beach and pool, but no professional or team member would ever wear them to compete. They're comfy, but its all about speed and they tend to slow you down.

Speedos in my opinion are the best, but if you're not into shaving your legs (like i am now) then jammers are good.

I think the board shorts are much sexier than briefs or speedos.

I was a bit sceptical about the briefs but I figured I had to try it out since I live in Australia now. I really like them for the pool but for the beach I might still go with my boardies. Though they are white and I think they might be see-through when they get wet... I might try out the briefs for the beach when spring comes around.
One thing to remember tho - Speedos give you more butt room than Aussiebum. I bought Speedos first and they sagged a bit so now I'm in ridiculously tight Aussiebums.
And to be honest I think jammers look bizarre. Makes everybody look top-heavy no matter what kind of body they have.

what's so bad about the combination of a tight speedo and muscular, hairy thighs/legs? rather a turn-on, IMO. icon_cool.gif

about jammers...doesn't all that loose, wet, cold material flagging around your thighs bother you? YUUKKKK!!! icon_sad.gif

I'm a triathlete, and I wear tri shorts when I compete. They're kind of like jammers, but with a chamois pad for more comfort on the bike. The worst thing about them is that there is NO support, and on the run segment it can be especially uncomfortable. However, even more uncomfortable is wearing briefs during a triathlon, but for different reasons. Recently I got a new low-rise tri short from De Soto that seems a bit better in the support department, so we'll see how that works out.

For swim workouts, it's briefs for me. Jammers leave everything flopping around, and the last thing I want to worry about during my workout is adjusting my junk.

True, I prefer briefs because of the support, while jammers are good and can compress your thighs and all, they lack the support that briefs have. When you're flooping around, its never comfortable!

Another poster said something about "whats wrong with hairy thighs and speedos?" For me, its not that theres anything wrong, but i wouldn't want it all on display. I mean, briefs are already revealing as is.

    Aussiebums are great btw!

Creepy thing is that my older brother is always also "POIDH" whenever I tell a story.
I'll go to the beach when spring comes around and maybe that'll result in some pictures. Right now even the heated outdoor pool is chilly to me.

If you have the Body and even more critical to the decision. You are not as Hairy as a Turkish Man on vacation in Slavonia . I say go for the brief , But jammers will not let you down . I personally use which ever .

Go with whatever you want to use. I use them both and I don't see much of a difference.

a speedo is good for when you'd like to tan or if you'd like to see where you break while swimming an event (i.e., more than likely unshaven, sometimes un-tapered, always calculating).

    sp_s_705966_001_maquajmr.jpg

a jammer is more than likely for a more confident swim for the sometimes less than confident in their body. a jammer is a good way to get a feel for the water without feeling as naked. it's a good way to be aware of your intuition as you swim, for the water will graze against the material in subtle ways that water against skin may or may not sense.

If this guy came up to me
I would deff say jammers !!!!!

Well I'm a swimmer and I would say either briefs or a drag suit (theyre trunks but just have an extra layer with holes to increase drag, which increases your strength). But if you care about your legs being white, then start with jammer, and just tan in a speedo until you want to wear it. Other thn that..definitely the speedo

Briefs look better but if you are insecure about wearing them, stick to the more baggy types! At the end of the day it's only a piece of clothing, if you have a good physique then you will look good in any shorts, tight or not.

Also I feel briefs sometimes appear a bit posey or sort of like you're saying "I want sex"...."look at my gorgeous body".

Briefs always..I feel that when others wear the longer jammers and bordies, those are the type that are self consoius and dont want to shy away from the peer pressure of society, so they are against Speedos. If you have the body for one..WEAR IT..After all..Look at all the "fat" women wearing "brief" type suits and bikinis.

If they look "posey". Then why are women allowed to wear what they wear and when we wear that type is a "I want sex thing" Us guys cant?..

People that think that way have there minds in gutter.

    Dear Real Jock,

I sleep with my boxxers (not the porsche sport car) shorts! I live in FL and with my A/C and my fan I do feel kinda kool in them! Why in god name you want to sleep with your briefs underware in the first place? I used to wear jammers but it bug me when I sleep!
