I used to be able to swim at my heavy weight, because I was a "natural bobber". I didn't have to work at swimming or even floating. Now...I can't float, let alone swim. I am ashammed to say that I may need to go back and take swimming lessons again. This is sorta embarrassing and hard to wrap my mind around. Any one else go through this? Any suggestions and be niceicon_razz.gif

I don't think you have anything to be embarassed about.
Most people at the gyms are professional and won't do anything but help you. Those who are members should also have appreciation as many will have their own goals.

Those who might chuckle... their options are irrelevant.

OK, I haven't swum in more than 20 years, then almost two years ago I had a stroke so I took up life at the local Y to keep motivated and moving. And one of my favorite things to do is swimming again! Yes, half my body is reduced in it's general physicality these days now, and I need one of those long narrow coozie thingies to keep swimming, but it works and I can do it! And if I can swim under these "embarassingly silly" looking conditions, you can too. Good luck bro, it's really not that bad!
