I plan on starting a workout routine, once I recover from the upper respiratory infection I have come down with.
I'm looking for some input on how to motivate myself to eat more and keep myself going to the gym, I know once I start to workout my appetite will increase quite a bit but I tend to ignore my hunger and not eat until a few hours later.

I was researching a meal plan and it stated a daily calorie intake of 5k+ and it is intended for guys who are thin and have trouble gaining weight with no prior workout experience. I don't know if I have trouble gaining weight because my body type is more ectomorphic then mesomorphic or if its just my poor eating habits. I believe its the latter since I do tend to see good results through definition and strength increases when I workout. I just do not gain the mass. And a eating 5k+ cal a day seems a bit excessive.

In short I'm interested in hearing from anyone with similar experiences trying to gain weight, good ways to keep yourself motivated. Some tips on how to do free weight without a workout partner, (I'm a bit of an introvert so I tend not to ask guys at the gym to spot me)

    thanks in advance

See food diet. You see food? You eat it.
