  Finally all specs have been revealed. I have to admit they did a pretty good job with this new upgrade, Google really pushed Apple to its limits.

  Looks like AT&T is gonna make switching from my current 3GS contract fairly painless, will get the details from them tomorrow (Tue, June 8 ), or maybe just pedal down to the Apple store. I want this!

  But seriously, the iphone 4 looks much more appealing, feature wise. I never liked the 3G or 3GS. The technology was so outdated compared to other phones on the market.

  PS: Also the HTC Incredible lacks a front facing camera, it doesnt get near the display resolution of iPhone 4(640px 960px) , it does not have a noise reduction mic and its battery life is 40% less than this iPhone's.

  Yes, requires two iPhone 4's, doesn't work with the 3GS, even with the software upgrade. And only with both phones using WiFi for the connection; the present AT&T cellular network can't support Face Time video, though I assume a 4G network will be able to handle it when service begins.

  Depending on what I learn from AT&T and Apple tomorrow (Tue) I may place a pre-order, which starts June 15, with the phone released June 24. I want to know what AT&T charges there may be with my present 3GS contract.
  
  I also want to ask about 4G service when AT&T begins it next year. I gather because this is called a 4, not a 4G, that it isn't 4G-ready. In that case I will probably wait for the G version, offering much faster data speeds, unless AT&T's 4G network won't be fully functional in this area for a year anyway.

  Back in February PC World magazine published their latest test of 3G networks, and AT&T did great. While the word persists that Verizon is better, the tests didn't support that in most coverage areas, including my own.
  
  The next big change is 4G, of course, and AT&T is positioning itself to be superior there, too, although others will be delivering 4G sooner, by upwards of a year in some markets. I have no complaints about AT&T wireless. Their crazy billing, however, is another story, like their failing to utilize my enormous amount of roll-over minutes when my time exceeds my plan, instead billing me per-minute when the time goes over.

  Verizon vs AT&T depends on where you live.
  
  In FL I found plenty of stretches on the highways where 3G coverage would vanish back to E. I'm guessing much of middle America suffers the same fate. But who lives in that empty space between the coasts anyways

  This may be a stupid question so pardon my ignorance.
  
  But will the iPhone ever be available through other carriers in the U.S. market? I am pretty happy with T-Mobile. I am pretty much sick of every other service.
