Weight-Loss Challenge Participants Drop Nearly 200 Pounds in Four Weeks

Laderjacka maintains the ideal balance of body and mind. After a youth spent with bicycles and motorcycles, he became an avid soccer player as an adult. "I'm a complete addict (where else can one chase the lads, and take the ball away from them?)," he says. "About 10 years ago, I added martial arts (Gun Fu and Tai Chi) to Raja Yoga, and asanas." But, this sportsman also knows how to use his mind. He tells us, "I left home and began college when I was almost 15. I started teaching, as faculty, at a college when I was 19." He's now an independent academic researcher. "I have lived in many countries," he says, "and can manage to read in about eight languages." C'est magnifique!

Laderjacka has faced many physical challenges over the years. A knee injury that required joint reconstruction stopped him from distance bicycling. Diabetes and Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction often leave him tired. But, he says, he still sees the bright side in life, and in other people. He describes his strength as his "ability to laugh at most things in life; and that I rarely get angry (it has been many years). I never do anything in competition with anyone else, since I am always in competition with myself, to improve myself, and to be healthy." We'd like to see him come out on top in that competition, and we wish him much success.

By the way, guys—he's "single, and searching." Time to step up!
