Gay Super Bowl 7: The Basic Details
The Gay Super Bowl 7 will be played at New York City's East River Park Complex from 9 to 5 pm on Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 6. Playoff games will be held Sunday, October 7 beginning at 9 am. The big championship game will be held at 2 pm that afternoon, with the two winners facing off for the Gay Super Bowl 7 title.

Even if you don't play, you may want to consider heading over to watch the games, as Gay Super Bowl 7 spokesperson Derek Reyes promises not just great play but an on-site tent filled with "a variety of food and activities" (here at RealJock, we're hoping for hot dogs and beer... and maybe garlic fries?). You may also considering volunteering; Reyes told us the Gay Super Bowl needs a lot of volunteers to help out before, during, and after the event. If you're interested, send the organizers an email at

A Special Talk With Out NFL-ers Kopay and Tuaolo
The weekend's events won't all take place on the field. For those interested in the topic of gay people in sports, the Gay Super Bowl 7 will feature a discussion program with openly gay former NFL players Dave Kopay and Esera Tuaolo on Thursday night October 4th at 6 pm. These two guys are among the few out gay professional athletes in the world, so we look forward to hearing them talk about their personal experiencs in the testosterone-filled, often homophobic NFL.
